The information we collect
When you contact us – through the form on our website, by email or by phone – we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and message. For website enquiries, we also record which page you sent it from.
When you become a client, we collect the information needed to do the work: for example, your contact details and correspondence about the project.
When you visit our website, our hosting and security providers automatically process technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit – see “Our website, cookies and analytics” below.
How and why we use it
We only use your information where the law allows us to:
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the information or service you’ve asked for (our “legitimate interests” in running our business, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract).
- To provide our services (to perform our contract with you).
- To meet our legal obligations – including keeping proper business and tax records, and dealing with complaints.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to keep in touch.
Who we share it with
Only with those who need it to help us run our business and provide our services, such as our website host and email provider, and our accountant. They may only use it on our instructions. We may also share information where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to any work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the work is finished, as required for tax and legal purposes, and then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to have it passed to another organisation. To use any of these rights, just contact us – there is no charge, and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
Our website, cookies and analytics
Cookies. Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so you won’t see a cookie banner.
Visitor statistics. We do not use any visitor statistics or analytics service on this website.
Maps. Maps on our website are provided by OpenStreetMap. When a map is displayed, your browser fetches the map pictures from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which receive your IP address. No cookies are set.
Enquiry form. Enquiries sent through our website are emailed to us and a copy is stored securely on the website.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
